The XXI International Conference on Practical Applications of Agents and Multiagent Systems to be held from July 12 to 14 in Guimarães, Portugal will feature the Adaptive Smart Areas and Intelligent Agents (ASSIA) workshop.
PAAMS Conference, is an event that aims to present and discuss scientific and technical advances in the application of multi-agent systems. This conference provides an opportunity to bring together multidisciplinary experts, academics, and practitioners to exchange experiences and showcase the latest agent-based systems. It also seeks to foster discussion on how agent-based techniques and tools can help system designers meet application needs.
PAAMS started as a local initiative but has since grown to become the annual international platform for presenting, discussing and disseminating the latest developments and most important results related to real-world applications. It is an important forum for understanding the potential and challenges of the agent-oriented approach in various areas.
ASSIA Workshop
The Adaptive Smart Areas and Smart Agents (ASSIA) Workshop aims to present technological solutions for geopositioned locations with a high need for sensing, which facilitates their adaptation to significant changes in environmental conditions.
Adaptive Smart Areas represent a new approach to thinking about any type of space by configuring a model that integrates aspects such as energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, environmental protection and economic sustainability.
During this workshop, we will discuss the use of agent technology to provide intelligence to different areas, creating adaptive smart areas. We will address specific methodological and technological issues raised by the reality of deploying agents in Adaptive Smart Areas and share experiences on the use of agents in adaptive smart areas addressing issues related to smart architectures, simulations, smart infrastructures, smart transportation, robotics, open data, and others.
During the workshop we will address interesting topics especially applications, but also theoretical approaches based on modeling smart cities, precision agriculture, smart infrastructures, predictive solutions and ML-enabled analytics, smart health, emergency management, and others. In addition, we will address ethical and legal issues in adaptive smart areas and new environmental sensor technologies.
In short, it is an opportunity to share knowledge, discuss innovative ideas, and network with experts in the field of adaptive smart areas. We look forward to your presence and participation in this interesting workshop.
